The engine data of your Suzuki outboard motor

The data for the outboard motor can be found on the identification plate. You can find this on the bracket of the motor, the part with which you hang the outboard motor on the boat. Below you will find an example of a Suzuki identification plate with the number of horsepower and the serial number. DF or DT is always noted for the number of horsepower, where DF is 4-stroke and DT is 2-stroke.

You can find suitable Suzuki spare parts by going through the following steps:

2. Then click Outboard Parts by Model

3. You will now see an overview of different Suzuki models divided into horsepower. DT stands for 2-stroke and DF stands for 4-stroke. Click on the model shown on your identification plate.

4. You will now see an overview of different Suzuki models divided by year of manufacture. Choose the model whose serial number matches the serial number of your engine as closely as possible.

Tip: A handy tool for this is the keyboard shortcut CTRL + F (for Apple users this is Command-F). It allows you to search for text on a web page. Entering the first digits of the serial number here will take you to the closest matching serial number.
