Where can you find the engine data for your Yamaha outboard motor?
You need the data to get to the correct drawings of your Yamaha outboard motor. The data for the outboard motor can be found on the identification plate. This is an example of a Yamaha identification plate showing the model name, model code, serial number and year letter:

Now that you have the details of the outboard motor, you can find the correct spare parts by following the steps below:
1. Visit the website: www.yamaha-motor.eu/gb/en/service-support/parts-catalogue/
2. Click on the red button Parts Catalogue >
3. Then click on Outboard Motor >
4. There are two options to get to the exploded views, both of which require the identification plate data:
| Search by Engine Serial Number To do this, you will need the model code and serial number of the outboard motor. If you enter this data and click on search, the system will automatically find the correct exploded views of the engine. |
Unfortunately, Yamaha's system does not always find the exploded views through this data. That is why there is also another option to arrive at the right exploded views.
| Search with Model Name To do this, you must enter the horsepower, model name and model year of the outboard motor using a drop-down menu. Then click on search and then the exploded views of the outboard motor will appear. |
To be sure that you have found the correct exploded views of the outboard motor, it is always recommended to compare the cowling / engine cover and the gearcase / lower casing with the exploded views of these.
5. The exploded views of all sections of the outboard motor are shown. Select the section of the outboard motor for which you need spare parts.
6. You now see the exploded view of this section with all associated spare parts numbered. This numbering can be found in the table next to the exploded view. In this table you will find the original Yamaha part numbers and the description of the spare parts.
7. The correct Yamaha part numbers have now been found. You can copy the part numbers and then enter them in the search bar of our webshop. If the part does not come out immediately, first subtract the last 2 digits of the part number. For example, 6L5-44352-00 instead of 6L5-44352-00-00.
8. If you have done the above correctly and we can supply the spare part then it will come up now. Click on the spare part and see if the found part number is shown in the description. If so, this is the spare part you need.
